Finding out you are allergic to milk can be freeing (at least you know what is causing you to feel poorly), yet disappointing (no more ice cream, milkshakes, pancakes, etc). I avoided many of my favorite foods for years. I would look for recipes that used oil instead of butter, or juice instead of milk, but it just wasn’t enough. During a creative burst, I began experimenting and found some alternative ways to make everyday favorites that I want to share with you.
